This is a whole day tour starting around 8:30am, driving out of San Jose up to the Irazu Volcano, famous for making eruption during the visit of President Kennedy to Costa Rica on 1963. You will be able to walk at the old "Beauty Beach" crater, which austranaut Lee Armstrong called: "the closest view to a moonscape on Earth". Then coming down from the third highest mountain in Costa Rica, above 11,000 feet high... stop at the Basilica of Our Lady of the Angels, Patron Saint of Costa Rica, in the city of Cartago, old capital of Costa Rica. Our stop for lunch is not far away. Early afternoon drive around the "enchanted Valley of Orosi", where you visit the Ruins of Ujarras and the Cachi Dam. Back to San Jose around 5:30pm. Tour includes; transportation, tour guide, entrance fees and lunch.
